Wednesday, August 21, 2019 (Washington, DC) – The popular all-day-brunch themed restaurant Milk & Honey Café has officially opened it’s first Washington, D.C. location. Formerly Catch 22, Milked, LLC has changed the name of their seafood staple, updated the interior design, and revamped the menu to re-brand the space at 5832 Georgia Avenue as The Bar at Milk & Honey . Located in the district’s Brightwood neighborhood, and owned and operates by Food Network star and winner of the Chopped Redemption series , Chef Sammy Davis,Jr ., alongside business partner and restaurateur Monique Rose , the Milk & Honey Café has built a reputation as having the best brunch in all of Maryland, with two other locations thriving in College Park and Bowie. “We have been thinking about opening a Milk & Honey in DC for some time now, “ stated Rose. “We had fun with Catch 22, but we thought it was a smarter business decision to answer the demands of our loyal customers and give them what they want- a Milk & Honey on Georgia Avenue!’ The Bar at Milk & Honey comes on the heels of yet another restaurant opening, as Davis and Rose opened the Real Milk & Honey Café in College Park, Georgia in July.
Known for over-the-top brunch fare at affordable costs, Chef Sammy has built a strong following for his unique and luxurious take on comfort food. The Bar at Milk & Honey will feature signature brand items on a “Top Ten Brunch Item Menu†including a variety of flavors of their deep-fried biscuits, waffles and pancakes, Blackened Salmon and Grits, and the first ever vegan dish, which will be featured at all area Milk & Honey locations. The Bar will also serve up signature and new cocktails as curated by Rose.
