What a joke. They even have the nerve to put a tab that says Existing ATT Customers.
Why would they do this you ask? Pehaps they want the old plans done with, new 2 year contracts, and have used ATT, Iphone, and Apple's name to mask the entire operation. It sucks to have an Iphone and not be able to use it. Especially when you are with the service provider. One operator even had the nerve to tell me that its called ATT mobility now and that the stores say it on the sign. I asked him if he had ever seen an ATT store and proceeded to ask him where he was located. You guessed it, Canada. In the USA where the Iphone was released I told him, they just say ATT. He said there was nothing else he could do for me and hung up.
So all you lovers of technology and reviewers of the gadgets, use your pens to do some justice. You need to pass this information on. If a small website or business tried something of this nature and BLATANTLY displayed otherwise it would be shut down. Why should ATT get away with it?
Further proof is at the ATT Press Release where the rep says " They are using the Iphone to generate interest back into ATT. Not only that, but in the article they state, "We want to make sure that every drop of equity from the iPhone accrues to the AT&T brand," he said. "We want to be as far along as possible with our rebranding in advance of the launch of the iPhone." At the same time they are kicking the old and loyal customers out. Is that right?
You can buy the Prada phone ( see video here )with touch screen by LG for the same money, have most of the same features, and use with most cell services. United we stand. So don't bend over for ATT. |
