CLOUD — Central Lakes College couldn’t overcome St. Cloud’s Frank Fernandez solo home run in the top of the sixth inning as the Raiders fell 2-0 to the Cyclones in the opening round of the Region 13 Final Four Thursday, May 19. Derin Gaudette pitched a complete game for Central Lakes College and struck out nine batters and allowed six hits. The Raiders couldn’t solve St. Cloud’s Christian Lessman who also struck out nine batters and allowed four hits to get the win. Erubiel Ozuna, Gaudette, Noah Cekalla and Erik Bungum each had one hit.
