Cool traveler contest Lorain County is continuing its bicentennial activities with a contest open to the public that involves the 74 historic markers, memorials and places across the county.

The “LC Cool Traveler” contest requires participants to get a “Cool Traveler fan” from a Lorain Public Library or the Lorain County Historical Society, 284 Washington Ave. in Elyria, which holds a QR code with the locations of the 74 historic sites. Participants must visit at least six of the sites on the historic tour and take a photo at each stop. They can then go to the county’s website at [www.loraincountyohio.gov](http://www.loraincountyohio.gov) and the LC Cool Traveler link under the Bicentennial tab to fill out the entry form and submit their photos. The deadline is Aug. 31 and drawings will occur in September.
