    MACT Health Welcomes Dr. Fawad Zadran as Director of Optometry ANGELS CAMP, CA – MACT Health is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Fawad Zadran as the new Director of Optometry. A native of El Dorado Hills, Dr. Zadran returns to Northern California with a wealth of experience in rural health and a commitment to providing high-quality vision care to the Mother Lode region. In his new capacity, Dr. Zadran will oversee optometry sites and supervise staff optometrists in San Andreas, Sutter Creek, Sonora, and Mariposa. He will also provide direct patient care, ensuring local communities have access to advanced eye health services. A Commitment to Diverse Communities Dr. Zadran’s career is distinguished by his dedication to serving varied populations. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2015 and graduated with honors from the Southern California College of Optometry. He subsequently completed a residency in ocular disease and primary eye care at Indian Health Services in Crownpoint, New Mexico in 2022. Before joining MACT, Dr. Zadran served rural communities on the Navajo Reservation in Crownpoint, Thoreau, and Pueblo Pintado.

    His experience also includes caring for veterans at the VA in Tucson, Arizona, treating inmates within the California State Prison system, and working in community clinics in Atwater. Evidence-Based Patient Care Dr. Zadran brings a patient-centered philosophy to the director role, focusing on listening to patient concerns and utilizing modern medical advancements. “My approach to care is to listen to patients’ concerns and address their issues by following evidence-based research,” Dr. Zadran stated. He emphasizes the use of the latest technology to create effective, personalized treatment plans. Outside of his professional duties, Dr. Zadran is an avid traveler and food enthusiast who enjoys exploring new cuisines. He also stays active playing recreational basketball.
