Pearlman is accused of fraudulently securing about $20 million in loans for himself and his companies using bogus financial documents from a fake accounting firm.
He also faces a number of civil complaints, and his assets have been liquidated in two bankruptcy cases.
Pearlman is most famous for forming '90s boy bands, but was also involved in airplane charter, real estate, model scouting and restaurant ventures.
